Before You Begin

Create Your M1.com Account

Everything in the Blueprint runs through M1 Finance. You need an active account before you can follow any of the lessons below. This takes 5-10 minutes.

Setup Checklist

Once Complete

Your M1 account is open, verified, and linked to your bank. You're ready to start Lesson 1.

01

Lesson 1

Welcome to Your Blueprint Deployment

Action Steps

Don't have $2,500 yet? No problem.

You're not behind — you're just starting at a different point. Most people get there in 3-6 months with the right plan.

What You Accomplished

You've opened your M1 brokerage account, linked your bank, and started your initial deposit. Your Blueprint foundation is being laid.

Lesson 2

Setting Up Your M1 Earn Accounts

Before You Start — Why M1, and What to Expect

Quick context on what M1 is, why we use it, and what to expect when you create your account.

Action Steps

What You Accomplished

Your EARN and ROUTE infrastructure is built. You have three accounts — Money In, Transfer, and Money Out — creating the flow system that powers your Blueprint.

03

Lesson 3

Building Your Blueprint Portfolio

Action Steps

Need help choosing your ETFs?

Open the Sample Portfolio Guide in a new tab. It shows you exactly which tickers go in Foundation Holdings and Accelerator Holdings, with target allocations for each.

View Your Sample Portfolio Guide →

What You Accomplished

Your Blueprint Portfolio is built with a 65/35 Foundation-to-Accelerator split. You've selected your ETFs and your investment engine is ready to receive capital.

04

Lesson 4

Activating Your Borrow Dashboard

Action Steps

What You Accomplished

Your Borrow dashboard is live. You've completed your first capital recycling loop and captured the four key numbers — Required Equity, Interest Rate, Portfolio Value, and Yield — that drive your EARN system.

05

Lesson 5

Your First EARN Cycle

Action Steps

What You Accomplished

You've completed your first EARN cycle. You used the Margin Health Monitor to analyze your position, got a clear recommendation, and executed it. This is the same process you'll follow on every Money Date.

06

Lesson 6

Automating Your System

Action Steps

What You Accomplished

Your entire Blueprint system is automated. Money flows from income to sweep to investment and margin paydown — all on autopilot. Dividends reinvest automatically. Your system is deployed.

Your Blueprint Is Deployed

You've built the system. Accounts are open. Portfolio is structured. Margin is active. Automation is running. Now the only thing left is your Money Date — a weekly or biweekly check-in where you run the Margin Health Monitor and follow its recommendation.

Your Monthly Commitment

The Most Important Input from Here

You just deployed the system. It's running. But the single most important thing that happens from this moment forward is not something you just did — it's something you keep doing.

Your Monthly Commitment.

Your Monthly Commitment is the dollar amount that flows into your system every month on the same date. It is the fuel. The system cannot compound what it does not receive.

Consistency Beats Amount

$200 every month for 24 months will build more than $2,000 twice and then nothing for a year. The system rewards the steward who shows up — not the one who tries hardest for a short stretch.

You do not need to commit a large amount. You need to commit a consistent amount. Pick a number you can flow in every single month without fail — through busy months, tight months, and quiet months. That is your Monthly Commitment.

Set It. Don't Pause It.

Your recurring transfer runs automatically. Once it is set, do not interrupt it. Do not pause it when things feel uncertain. Do not reduce it to "catch up" on something else. Treat it like a bill — non-negotiable, on the calendar, done.

If you need to adjust it, adjust it up when you can. But never pause it down to zero. Even $50 flowing in every month beats the month a steward skipped because life got noisy.

"Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much." — Luke 16:10

The system cannot compound what it does not receive. Your Monthly Commitment is the one decision you make once and then keep honoring. Everything else runs on its own.

Before You Go

This Business Stays Running Because People Gave

Foundation Financial was built on a simple idea — no family is excluded because they cannot pay. The education stays free. The system you just built is yours to run forever.

But this only keeps happening if some stewards give back. Every gift keeps another family from being turned away. Every book sent is sent because someone else cared enough to cover it.

If this changed how you think about money — and you are in a position to give — consider it. Any amount helps. Nothing is expected.

Pay It Forward
"Freely you have received; freely give." — Matthew 10:8
